Recorded Screening for Depression in Community - Pharmacies Tools to get you started
This webinar will offer information and tips to get started on implementing a depression screening service in pharmacies. Depression is a leading cause of disability in the world and pharmacists are in an ideal position to screen patients. This webinar gives advice and tips on overcoming barriers pharmacists face when implementing a depression screening service.
Target Audience
This knowledge-based course is intended for Pharmacists within the Central Alabama Veterans Health Care System. An access code is required to enroll in this program.
Learning Objectives
1. Identify patients who are eligible to be screened for depression.
2. Explain what the PHQ-9 is for and how to use it.
3. Determine whether a patient needs to be referred for mental health care.
4. Explain what steps to take if a person tests positive for depression.
5. List resources that can be used to refer patients for mental health care.
